Trans and Gender Diverse Bendigo and Beyond is a volunteer run organisation. Our volunteers are trans, gender diverse and allies, sharing their time and passion to help us deliver projects and events that empower trans and gender diverse people.
There are many volunteer positions which range from working with us to deliver a clothing swap event, to admin, promotions and committee positions.

ZARA JONES
Pronouns : She / They

Zara is a proudly visible trans woman. She came out in 2017 at the age of 40 and has been advocating for the trans community since then. She has a passion for sharing stories through video production and shares her life story openly to educate and raise awareness about trans experiences. She loves dancing, pole fitness and has a new found love for self-expression through fashion.

ROBBIE HAYWOOD
Pronouns : She / Her

Robbie is a retired Air Force and Airline pilot living in Mt Macedon. Her hobby was racing MGB’s but now enjoys a more relaxed time with her three cats. Robbie is a good listener, empathic and although tends to be quite shy, she enjoys interacting with people at the tgd clothing swap and the caring environment that it creates.

ANDREW-CATHERINE CREMONA

Andrew-Catherine is a trans genderfluid person who came out in 2016 and has been navigating their identity journey since then. They have a background in horticulture, hospitality, mechanical/fitting, machining and tool making. Recently studying and working in community development, human services and social work. They are an active environmentalist and hobbies include various dance forms, woodturning and gardening.

Ange joined the committee as an advocate and ally to the transgender community with a passion for supporting all people to live their best lives. Ange enjoys listening to true crime podcasts, bike riding and reading.

VITOR ROCHA
Pronouns : He / Him

Vitor is a culturally and linguistic diverse (CALD) gay man passionate about advocating for equitable and inclusive access to health services. As an overseas trained GP and public health provider he works alongside communities to improve the end of life care journey of people with dementia. When free, he enjoys a good glass of wine, cheese surrounded by good friends!

Greg is a proud gender-fluid man and is an ally for the trans community. He came out at age 16 as gay. He has a passion for design and floral work. He loves to hear people’s stories and is a listening ear for anyone who needs it

Xin is a gender fluid person who came to Australia in 2017 firstly as a backpacker. Xin loves travel, hiking and camping and enjoys the intimacy with nature. Xin also likes to learn about cultural diversities and to experiment cultural food. Xin has a background of film producing & social work.

Theresa is a confident and visible transgender person who came out in 2015 and has been involved in the trans community since then. She has a background in software engineering and mental health work. She has been a musician from the age of 10 and has recently started dress making. The mental health of trans persons is of great interest to her.
